What if you could live tomorrow, TODAY?

Girlfriends, as I visited the Museum of the Future in Dubai during our 2024 Girlfriendism Retreat: Girl's Trip Edition (Extended Trip Destination), I couldn't resist the inspiration that derived from this extensive work of art which is more than a master piece but an actual building housing five floors dedicated to different themes including hope, healing, humility and technology. Located in the Financial District of Dubai, UAE, the Museum of the Future is a torus-shaped building with windows in the form of a poem about the future, written by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai (Visit Dubai, 2024). Of the three quotes enveloping the façade, one translates to: 

“The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it and execute it.

It isn't something you await, but rather create."

As I reflected on this quote, the symbolism of the future and words of our tour guide, Mohammad, who said: 'It we can't be #1...we don't do it.', I immersed myself in the imaginative process of redesigning Girlfriendism to be more than good or even great but rather: THE BEST! Then I wondered...how can I create something that represents the best? Better yet, how can Girlfriendism be #1 for all things women's empowerment? Then as if the ancestors themselves awoke, I heard: 'No one else has your voice, your mind, your story, your vision'; so the only person who exists who can create competition for me...is ME! The beauty of traveling is in widening one's perspective not only on our world but on ourselves. The beauty of traveling with girlfriends, is widening your network while tightening the bonds with other women who are in daily competition not with you but with the BEST version of themselves too! To say that I am inspired, motivated or on a mission - is an understatement! From my reflections in Bali to Thailand and Dubai to Virgin Islands, I am TRANSFORMED. I cannot wait to share how this transformation will be reflected through Girlfriendism. Better yet, I won't need to tell you...I'll show you. Until then...
